Here is a Basic Description of what each motor has done to it:

( There are 300+ steps all tolled )

1. Throughly clean all parts

2. Debur; Block, Heads, Intake, Crankshaft

3. Bore Block, hone to accept Moly Rings

4. Chamfer Oil Passages

5. Drill & Tap Front oil Galleys to Accept Screw in Plugs

6. Micro Drill Rear oil Galley Plug to positively oil Distributor

---Cam Gear

7. Clean Block Again, Wire Brush oil Galleys, Paint

8. Crower forged rods

9. Balance Pistons & Rods to within 1/2 gram

10. Spin Balance Crankshaft to .005 ounce/inches through RPM Range

 

12. Install rings on pistons, Placing Rings in Specific -----Locations, (clocking)

13. Disassemble New Oil Pump, Check, reassemble Torque

----Cover Bolts.

14. Weld Oil Pickup Tube to Oil Pump

15. Drill & Chamfer Windage Tray

16. Drill & Tap Oil Filter housing by Pass Valve, Install Plug,

-----(No oil may go unfiltered now)

17. Degree in Cam Shaft, Install Anti Pump-up Lifters

18. Port Heads According to Application, Data Needed:

-----(Compression Ratio, Displacement, Cam Type, Vehicle

-----Weight, Intake, Carb, Exhaust Size, Rear end Ratio,

------Trans. Type,Torque Convertor Size, Driving Style

19. Port Match Intake & Gaskets For Intake

21. New: Guides in Heads, Springs (Comp), 3 Angle Valve Job

22. Paint Each Part Individually Prior to Assembly

23. New HEI distributor, curved in.

24. Prime oiling system prior to installing Distributor, Turn

-----Motor Over with Starter, Check Oil Pressure

25. Set up Motor and Run For Approx. 1 Hour (4 to 5 gallons

Greg has been building Pontiac Engines since 1973 and has built engines since 1969. I personally oversee the assembly of each and every motor. I have parts custom made for my engines. All parts available from me are not listed. I have an inventory of blocks, cranks, and heads which I will custom build for you.

GENERAL INFORMATION

SHIPPING: United Parcel Service is the way I ship most often, (up to 150-lbs). Blocks and complete motors are shipped by Viking/ Fex Ex ,The motors are shipped on an oak pallet completely boxed with 3/4" plywood, braced internally.

 

 

TERMS: All orders are shipped prepaid.

 

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE: All Shipments are Insured. All claims for damaged merchandise must be made with the freight company, but I will help you if there is a claim.

 

PRICES: All prices are subject to change without notice.

RETURNS: All returns will have a credit issued only. No refunds on shipping costs.

 

WARRANTY:New parts that I sell have a warranty from the manufacturer for parts defects. All warranties must be made directly with the parts manufacturer. Parts that I sell are for racing only, neither the seller or manufacturer will be liable for any loss, damage or injury. Not for use on pollution controlled vehicles. Some oil leaking can occur at the rear main seal, this is due to the inherent design of the factory crankshaft. Pontiacs have always been notorious for leaking here, even from the factory.

 

COMPLETE ENGINE WARRANTY: All of my complete, dialed in, engines come with, through my shop a one year WORKMANSHIP warranty!! EVEN IF YOU DRAG RACE THE CAR ALL YEAR !!! Once a motor is modified in any way, the warranty is void ! Customer is totally responsible for proper carb jetting, engines run too lean or rich will have no warranty ! Proper cooling is a must, and customer is totally responsible for cooling aspect of motor, over heated motors have no warranty!! Shipping to my shop not included. No warranty on factory cast steel rods.Some minor leaks may occur at rear main seal do to the serrated seal pattern on factory crankshafts.
